Well I was progressing just fine untill I hit a brick wall choosing which forend to go with. There are so many options that you get lost looking at them all. Sooo untill I deside I made a scratch built forend (cost zero) just to be able to shoot my little "shoot n scoot carbine"
That Weaver K4 will not be the scope that stays on the gun. Havn't decided on that either.

DPMS slick side upper
DPMS lower
BCM bolt ( on order)
charging handle (on order)
Lothat Walther Krupp 50 SS medium contour 16 " 1/9 twist bbl.
G27 grip ACE stock
Magpul aluminum trigger guard
Weight 7 lbs. (unloaded)

I am leaning toward the Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS-Series Free Float Modular Rail

You're right BigQ they seem to be well made. I handled one at a gunshow several weeks ago. The price seems high for a piece of extruded aluminum but I'm still looking REAL hard at them. I think they are the nicest slim handguards available. I can't deside on what length I want. I do not like the handguards with all the rails. All those rails are good for is hanging up in the brush & getting your butt in a bind.
