Yes 99% of all AR parts are interchangeable. You will find some of the Colt, I believe, uppers and lowers have a larger pin variant. (correct me if I'm wrong) The Aero should work great.

You may want to pick up an "Accu-Wedge" just in case there is any slop between the two pieces as you change out.
Perhaps someone that has (or has not needed) one can chime in on there benefits. |

Awesome info guys, thanks! I am looking to add the forward assist because...I guess I just think the rifle looks a little weird without it.

Aero Precision is GTG.
All modern Mil-Spec AR-15 parts in .223/5.56mm calber are Interchangable, with the exception of some of the older Colt's which have different diameter front and rear pins...the only other thing you may want to consider is matching a M4 barrel extension to a M4 ramp cut upper receiver. Bolts and Mags differ only in non 223/5.556mm based caliber cases. Good Luck. |

So, the barrel receiver (the part pictured) is screwed onto the receiver side of the barrel, and I need to ensure that the feed ramps in my new upper line up like in the pictures marked "Good" right?
Again, thanks so much for the help here guys. It makes me proud that we have such a helpful, knowledgeable community on here. Even though I've only been a member a few days! |

I did one for my Dad using an Aero and a sport and it fits great
And yes, I know the carry handle was mounted too far back. |

After these pics, I'm sold. Went ahead and ordered the Aero. Anything particular to look out for when you put that together?

Nope, it went together without issue. I assume you have the necessary tools though right? |
