THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT MEGA billet upper 16" Bison Recon barrel, Mid-Length gas tube and low-profile YHM gas block. I'm looking for a handguard that will give me a continuous top rail, and cover the gas block. I like the ones from DD, YHM, and Larue.. but not sure what length to get. Thanks for any help, Scott |

My 6.8 from Bison(18" mid-length), Troy TRX Extreme 11"(11 1/4" actual) covers past the gas block 7/8". You will need an 11" or rifle length(12") rail to completely cover your block.

an 11" will cover a mid length gas system
Not sure if mega uppers require something different for rail mounting. I may be thinking of something else |

11" as everyone else stated is correct for Midlength.. 10" for positive coverage over Carbine and a shaved FSB
The YHM low-pro for example that I got is just about 1" in length.. |

Thanks for the info, I think I'm gonna go with the yankee hill diamond in rifle length.

I just put a rifle length YHM diamond on my carbine the other day. It covers out about four inches past a shaved down FSB, carbine length. Looks sweet too.

Doesn't gas blow back in your face without the charging handle?
