What is the best stripped, chrome lined, 1:7, govt. profile, 11.5" barrel?
Thanks,

CMMG makes a good product. I would look into this.

I've bought a couple 11-1/2" Double Star Service Rifle Barrels at Brownell's but they're "Out of Stock" right now. Excellent shooters. But, they're 1 in 9" twist..
Maybe you can find them somewhere else.

The CMMG might do, but I was hoping for something more like this. It is a BCM upper, but they don't sell the barrel stripped.

That's a laugh. CMMG is hit and miss at best.
We need to get over the romance of carrying a 1911 pistol, and get on to the business of shooting smelly bad guys in the face with a modern handgun.

Amen! I have an extra Sabre Defence 11.5" barrel. But it has a flat top upper rec attached to it.

Is it Govt. profile under the handguards? I can't seem to find an 11.5" Sabre. I think that might be what the BCM 11.5" upper is made with.

It's pretty thin, but I don't know exactly what Govt profile is. It's thin under the hand guards but thicker from the FSB forward... similar to the Govt profile M16 barrel.

Definitely. Short of getting a Colt. BCM and Sabre are the only two I'd consider for serious (Defensive) use.

I have been very pleased with my Double Star chrome lined A1 contour barrel. It is very accurate, and 1-9" twist is just fine for my purposes.
