For a rifle you can use the HL-X, 1000 lumens and a few dollars cheaper than the TLR.

short answer no
long answer lumens alone does not mean as much as spot distance, and flood range. the tlr1hl does well here but the tlr hp offers the turbo head and almost double the throw. 800-1000 lumen lights or drop in upgrades are becoming common. my M952 has a $15 1000lumen drop in but my tlrhl offers more throw and a brighter spot. |
