Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Surefire Weaponlight (Remington 1187) drop in lamp replacement

I have an old Surefire forend for an 1187 that still has the old incandecent bulb.  I know Malkoff makes a drop-in for it, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any of the other cheaper drop ins.  I see hundreds of them on Amazon and Ebay, but I can't seem to make heads or tails of that market.

Any help would be great - I'd like to keep lumens between  250-500

I have used the Malkoff one with great success in that platform. I wouldn't cheap out on the drop in for a 12ga semi....the recoil forces are noticeable. Plus I think they are on sale now too. Or you can do their weapon light mod.
