looking for a good fit, i dont want to long of a rail section, and i dont want one that is to small, looking for the length i need that will be the best match for the base the light comes with,

Buy a 6" or 8" piece and cut to fit. Easy to make a long rail short but hard to make a short one long.

Sorry I should of made my post more clear, I am using a proprietary rail that takes proprietary rail sections, in odd ball lengths like 3.2" and the attachment points are on the ends of the rails sections so cutting them down will not work in my case, I just really need to know the length of the mount that this weapon light uses so I can get my rail section ordered, I am guessing I am going to need the 2.2" or the 3.2" length rail section, someone on ar15 has to own this light and could measure the attachment base for me and give me a length please.
