Received 2 M300B mini scout lights from the SF Presidents' Day sale.

Noticed that these look different than other scout lights.
The body has the SF logo but no serial/model number.

The LED head is not the KE1A I was expecting but a KE1E.

The lights are obviously legit, but I can't find any details on the KE1E. It appears to be comparable to my other 200 lumen SF E2D LED lights but I'm not 100% sure.

Anyone have any info? Is this just the next generation and I'm just being paranoid?

What you have is KE1 Version E, this should be the latest version.

I just received mine from Surefire as well and it has the KE1A head.

Hmmm. I just contacted Surefire. The manual says KE1A. Odd that they'd skip 3 models in between.

I have a KE2A and a KE2C (2-cell scout heads), and the only difference is that the KE2A is actually what was on the  latest SF WML that I bought, while the KE2C was the initial light I ordered as soon as the head was available for separate purchase over a year ago. The KE2C has a more pleasing tint. That's about it.
