Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - is the xm tail cap the only reliable tape switch option?

I have been running a solar force tail cap with remote. Let me tell you, I have polished this turd as much as a turd can be polished...its just a bad design, and has proven to me I can't trust it. I know an xm tail cap would be my best choise, but I have issues with dropping $130 on a tail cap. Is there any other choice?

You can easily find them in the EE for $40-$50. I don't know if it's the only reliable tape switch system out there, but it's the only one I've ever used that never had any problems.
