Got a Surefire Scout light. Have it set up the way I like it but the wire is going inside my quad rail up and over the gas tube. Would this be safe for most slow controlled fire?

I wouldn't have the wire touching my gas tube at all.

If I absolutely had to run it inside the rail I would find a spring with a inside diameter of the wire and cover the wire with it.

I decided to run it outside of the rail.
