I am looking for a good light. I have a small one about 3 inches long and a hair over an inch in diameter. i like it because its small. But I wish it were a little brighter and more reliable. I wouldn't mind going a little bit larger but not much larger. And lets think budget. I don't want to spend more than 60 bucks.

Ask yourself these questions first.

What will the light go on? I'm assuming rifle.

Do you live in a urban or rural area? Is lighting up a wide area important for where you live?

Inside or outside or both?

What kind of switch, toggle or push button?

From what your budget is, a Surefire 6PX Tactical would be close to your price albeit a bit higher. Look on Amazon for a good price to start.

A used Surefire 6P would be your best pick, then upgrade to a M60 lamp when you have the money. If you decide to spend a few more bucks ElZetta is the choice for me. They are hands down the toughest light that I have ever used and I have used a lot of lights. They also use the Malkoff lamps.
