Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How To Safely Remove Rustoleum Paint From Light?

I'd like to restore a polymer light to its original color by removing the Rustoleum rattle-can paint I already have on it. What's the best way to safely remove the paint since it's been dry for several months now. Thx!...

ETA: Used Citrus-Strip Spray, took off all the paint but the once glossy surface of the light is now dulled from chemical etching (no biggy, light's still perfectly functional).

ive had good luck with acetone and an AP brush on most surfaces, but sometimes the original surface was painted to, like the battery box on my eotech. stripped the spray paint off but also the factory paint that I didn't know was there lol.
