I bought an Elzetta mount with the quick release thumbscrew that attaches to fsb.

I bought the quick release so that I could quickly remove light but I originally had the streamlight polytac and it is larger on the end than the center so it won't slide out

I can't tell from pics...is the G2x tactical larger on the end than the center? I don't want to buy another light only to find out it won't work

The G2X tailcap measures about 1.00" at its widest point.  The body measures 0.95" at its narrowest point (the flat areas with SureFire on them) and 0.99" at its widest.
