Ordered an Inforce APL for my Walther PPQ. Not even close to being snug. With minimal force, I can pull right off. That said, for the hell of it, I mounted on my BCM. Its absolutely amazing. Its better than the actual,  WML. Is very snug, perfect fit for where I place my hands. Was going to send it back, but going to keep it for my rifle.

So to be honest. I think the APL light is actually better for the rifle than the actual rifle light they make. At least for me. The light tilted sideways gives easier access to the on switch than the WML IMHO

Looking at the right side.

Looking from top down

Can see how easy it is to engage switch. Constant or momentary.

Suck that it wouldn't fit on your pistol. I disagree with you on it being better than the WML.

Not sure why you had issues with mounting the APL, did you switch out the rail mounting bar? I need to buy more lights but I've been very strapped for cash lately, I can swap my APL between my AR, my Mossberg 500, my Sig 2022, and I've used it on my friend's G26 and P226, snug, perfect fit every time. I love the APL, and I agree with your assessment of ergonomics, love it on my rifle. I can't speak for the WML, as I have not used one, but was looking into getting a WML as well.

Try changing the mounting bar for your PPQ. The APL positioned like that is very easy to have a light-AD with if you ever sling your rifle.

I had an Inforce APL on my Glock 19 and after a couple of times shooting with it on the right paddle switch stop functioning. Inforce had EXCELLENT customer service, but I will say the fact that it failed at all left my feeling uneasy about the APL.  The new one so far has been good-to-go, but I view it as a light weight CCW light not a "go to war" light.

I love that paddle switch though over the levers on Streamlights and Surefires. Like how big they are and how easy they are to operate.

Just swapped clamps and no luck. Seems maybe the PPQ has a proprietary rail or something. APL fits tight on rifles and DW Specialist without any issues. Only the PPQ can I pull it loose.

Out of curiosity,  how are you pulling on your APL to get it to come off your PPQ?

That has been my edc for a few months now and have had no problems.
