I have a m951 that I bought a few years ago, always worked no problem every now and then needs batteries. Anyway last night I changed the batteries because it was dimming out, well would it not come back on, I tried batteries and lamp in another light works fine, switched tail cap to the other good to go, so needles to say I'm stumped any help would be great.

lamp, switch and batteries are good but light doesn't work? thats a good one. I would mess with it a bit and if I couldn't figure it out I would send it in. You certainly pay for the warranty with surefire why not use it?

Did you turn the tailcap to the lock out position while changing batteries?

Had a guy on the EE complain that the M951 I sent him didn't work. Sent a spare bulb. He swore the batteries where new. I got it back, threw in some batteries and it worked.

It's a bit of a long shot but you can try cleaning the threads.
