I have a Surefire M1 ir and I really like it, however it really isnt much when compared to a 952v on the ir light. I did a head count and I found three G2 Nitrolons doing absolutely nothing, and I had a thought...does anyone make a led ir lamp in a higher horsepower configuration that could go in this little light and serve as a better ir illuminator than the standard M1 without shelling out the big bucks for a 952v or a KM3 head or a KM4 head for my 962? I dont know about the lamps from China.....appreciate the help.

Head option only at the end of summer. But in a few weeks THIS with a body housing. One can still simply take the head off an screw it into the G2, 6P, and C2.

Thanks guys.

Only reason I was looking at a head only option was because I have so many G2 light available. Any stats on the head only version? and thanks for the response!

I use a Fleabay 1" IR filter (cost $12) for one of my G2s. It illuminates at 200 meters like it's a spotlight. There is some visible light signature, but it's very dim and visible only from very close ranges. The light is almost too bright, but it's a great distance spotlight.

Order a P60-style IR LED drop in from eBay. I ran one of these for a while on my helmet and it is outstanding for the price.
