I love it. Bought it to go with my PVS14 on the helmet. I wish the IR and VIS lasers were slaved for zeroing, but other than that it is perfect. The CQBL has the slaved lasers but only comes in vis red / IR. I like the vis green much better than vis red for bright light use. I have 2 of the DBALs if that tells you how much I like them.

Decided against putting the laser on top, because it obscured the BUIS. As it is installed now, I can simply rotate the rifle 45 degrees like I would if there were an offset red dot mounted.

Nothing wrong with old school IMO. I'm running the 6P with a TacStar. Our lights may be little heavier, but with the right drop-in, they're easily capable of out performing the high end stuff.

I thought about putting mine on the lathe and turning it down to like 58mm diameter.

The Beamshot has a built in laser and rechargeable battery so it has to have excess to to the rear .
