What is out there for direct mount KeyMod vertical grip options? Looking around, I'm seeing that BCM makes a few shorter options. What else is out there?

Ergo has one. A bit pricey (about 40 bucks) but it feels better than any other VFG I've handled. Aluminum  (I think they started making a cheaper polymer version), and fasteners are high quality. Long enough for a solid grip, but not too long to be unwieldy.

Edit:   also really snag-free and no funky gapping on the rail. VERY clean design.

SIG MCX uses one that tiny. I'd just google vert grip keymod and go from there
