How to install it? It doesn't slide on a conventional M1913 picatinny rail as most others attachments do.

Take the two screws completely out and slide it on the rail. Sometimes I use a flat screwdriver to ever so slightly pry the two halves apart to make it easier to slide on the rail. It's got a little spring tension to so don't pry them apart too far to bend it permanently. Line up the screw holes with the rail slots and re install the screws.

Thanks for this codzilla, at least it's clear to me that all were made this way that it needs a technique to mount it.
