my old beat to shit sling sucks.

looking to get a new one, basically down to the haley D3 sling and the BFG Vickers padded.

is the BFG still basically the go to sling or is the haley good enough to give it a try?

Well I'm not military so I don't put a sling through rough use, but I have a padded Vickers sling on my precision AR. I also have a non-padded Vickers sling on my 10.5" SBR. I'm pleased with both of them although to me the Magpul MS1 sling is easier to adjust.

I am looking at the 'Armageddon Gear Carbine Sling'....seems like a decent budget sling for my 16" mid length.
I have a sector gear on my M4gery and that works well too.

Either a BFG VCAS or I'm really enjoying the VTAC Bungee slings now. The adjuster design is better on the VCAS. If the VTAC's was reversed it would be equally as good IMO.

The VTAC Bungee looks to be almost an identical design as the Armageddon gear but for less money.

Armageddon Gear has recently upgraded the carbine sling with a proprietary flat bungee webbing that's much better than the old/style method of putting shock cord inside tubular webbing. The flat webbing won't roll and twist like the tubular webbing. Makes a huge difference.
