I don't have any light on my rifles, and am looking to change that. Most of my rifles have MOE handguards on them (midlength). Only one has a mil spec type handguard, and one has an EMR rail but won't be having a light on it (it's set up for longer range). I
I like/prefer super light, simple, sleek set ups (which could also be swappable between rifles). I use the stock front mil spec sling loop, so no under mounts. So... I'm thinking of using a Magpul M-lok cantilever mount with an Inforce WML gen2 (that would work for my MOE handgaurds).
However... I'm also considering using my copy/clone of this:
https://www.gggaz.com/the-dually-dual-rail-front-sight-accessory-mount.html

(twin sided short rail that sandwiches over the A2 tower) to mount an Inforce WML Gen2 (that would work both MOE and mil spec handguards).

Any other ideas that may be overlooking for my criteria? Thanks for any advice!

That Magpul Cantilever mount should work provided you can get it into a position that allows you to easily manipulate the rear switch on your light.
I went with the Magpul Offset Light Mount and it's worked out perfectly as far as switch accessibility.

? I thought the problems have been sorted out with the WML Gen 2?

It still falls behind Scout based options in weight (when you account for adding a picatinny section), output, range, convenience, and durability. So why go that route?

If you have the FSB, consider this Elzetta ZFH1500 mount: https://www.elzetta.com/product/zfh1500/

I have one on a mid length with plain plastic handguards. I like that it's naturally ambi, easy to activate, and doesn't take up my limited handguard space.

I went with this simple style (A2 FSB side rail mount) because I don't like "clutter" on my handguards.
