I just bought a drop in Quad rail for Smith & Wesson MP Sport2. I have an Angled Foregrip on order. What are you guys using for rail covers, I think that's what they would be called. I want something that I could use so the rail doesn't cut into my hands.

Are these any good?

Ladder style or Larue index clips but I have girly hands and prefer to keep the handguard slim. That's the main reason I only have one or two full quad rails.

I use ladders on my top rail and on my pistol build

every thing else is a KAC rail & I like KAC covers

I have 1 tango down cover I use but KAC are good enough.

I like the clips with the wire holders but I find the flash  seams on the outside sharp especially on my knuckles if the clip is in front of my VFG

I'm  just starting to really like the larues compared to other styles for my top rail. really comfortable and right grip size for me.

I use KAC.  If they will not fit then I use ladders from a major manufacturer (MagPul, Ergo, etc.)

I got them, put them on my new rail along with the new grip. I am happy with them.Attachment Attached File

I have the magpul xtm covers and like them OK. A bit bulkier than I wanted it to be but they are definitely secure. I'll be looking into those ladder type covers.

I've used Magpul ladder style, Ergo "slim line" textured (they actually cover entirely, not just between the steps), Ebay ladder covers, and fake Ergo slim lines.
My favorites are actually the Ebay ladder covers (followed by Ergo "Slim line", which they don't make any more). The Ebay ones were harder, and snapped on tighter to the 1913 rail (way better than Magpul does), they also fit in the slots tighter. They (ebay) are my favorites for receiver rail. I like the Ergo "slim line" textured covers for anywhere my hands my contact often. They are FANTASTIC and barely thicker than ladder style. Ergo no longer makes them, and the ebay version of THOSE are not as good (unlike the ladder type), as they are actually softer and come off a bit too easy for my tastes.
But my experience is strictly limited to minimalist rail covers, not panels or anything, so couldn't help you with any of those types.

I just bought my second rail, and I am using the Ergo Ladder covers on it. I THINK they make the Magpul ladder covers, but I am not sure.

I tried to like the xtm covers but they would randomly come loose when shooting. The xtm handstop has been fine though. Looking into ladders

Magpul ladders.  Very well made.  Almost weightless.  Add no bulk.  Soft on your hands.  Inexpensive.

Case in point:  Daniel Defense Omega 7.  Comes with its own ladders, but over time they got cut to smaller sizes or accommodate various accessories. Most of those pictured are now Magpul.
