ok so i might not be posting this in the right area but i was wondering what everyone uses for hearing protection other than over ear muffs. I'm currently using sure fire ep7's and like them but i've been shooting a lot more and wanted to upgrade to an inear electronic bud looking thing; I looked at sport ear and a couple others but figured i'd see what everyone was using in here before i drop $500. Thanks for the help guys

What about ear plugs? You can get disposables cheap at a hardware store. Even the sturdier ones only cost $10-$20.

i use them already and don't mind them but i will be taking some classes and want the ability to hear as well. I find myself shooting once a week and spend a ton of money on this sport so i figured why not upgrade my hearing protection. like i said sport ear and etymonic are the two i have been looking at.

If I'm not using my traditional ear muffs I'm using cheap bulk foam plugs, both work just as well as the other, except I do like my electronic muffs, but I know what you mean about being in the way at times.

If not using my Peltor 100 muffs, or bulk foam plugs, and I use another Peltor double sided ear plug. One side is green and is like a normal ear plug (indoor use) but the other side is yellow and has a hole so you can hear (for outdoor use).

I have used Hearos Xtreme foamies but typically I wear muffs or muffs plus foamies.

They're very effective for foamies and very comfortable.
