I wanted a bottom attach sling stud similar to that of the standard M4 or A2 stocks for one of my builds.
So, I drilled a small hole at the bottom of a Magpul MOE stock and added a sling stud: 
...nothing too fancy, but I am pretty happy with it. This build was meant to be relatively simple. |

I don't understand. If you're going to use the stock front sling loop (non QD), why not just use the stock MOE sling slot (non QD)? Doesn't get any simpler than that (and my preferred method as there's no attachments to fail).
