Im looking for a ring mount for the front of my rifle to work with a magpul sling, im thinking something fixed ring type similar to a magpul RSA but wondering if there cheaper options?

Dieter CQD mount is nice.
I recommend chamfering the edges. It's quite square and will chew up the plastic portion of the sling clips.

Just get the RSA. It is nitride treated and the offset angle and loop size are well thought out.

Really agree with this.  I kind of choked when I saw the price, but after using one for a short while on the front of my AR10 with a Magpul paraclip attachment, it functions excellently.  The angle on the RSA is ideal for my use with a Magpul MS1 sling.
