THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT M4-M9 Case Combo
However, you can only get that foam if you buy the entire case with the foam. You cannot simply buy the foam inserts and put it into the hardshell case you already have. The customer support representative said they couldn't just sell me another copy of the foam inserts you see in the above picture; instead, I'd have to trace foam, send it in, get a quote, and go that route. This really doesn't make sense when they clearly already have a standard foam setup available for their entire cases. Does anybody know of a place that sells basic pre-cut M4 foam inserts for Pelican cases? This seems like a fairly common setup and I'm surprised that I have yet to find anything. Thanks! |

Thanks. I saw that thread earlier and that's the DIY route, but I was wondering if there's a place that already sells the foam pre-cut for what is likely a very common rifle for Pelican/Storm cases. As seen in the link above, a vendor already sells pre-cut foam (though they will not separate the foam from the case and sell each independently). Somebody out there is doing that pre-cut setup for them... |

Craft or hobby store and buy a 5$ styrofoam cutter with a long blade works like a charm if you take your time with it. Just lay your stuff out in mirror of how you want it in the case, and trace it with a sharpi as close as you can, cut along the inside of you line, then flip your foam around so you can't see the sharpi lines.

They don't come pre-cut. But here is how to do it yourself!!
Lay out what you want inside your case. Give it some REAL thought! Remember, all optics go face up toward the carry handle. Take a sharpie & carefully trace around their items you had laid out. Do a bang up job here. This will determine WHERE you will cut. If you do not have one, steel your Moms turkey carving ELECTRIC KNIFE! That is the PERFECT tool with it's sliding scissor type blades. You can trace a line, you can cut it PERFECTLY using this method. Or, go buy a cheapie electric knife. You want a good job, right? Cut it out, place it back in your case & give it a test fit. Go & have a beer ... |

It might be possible to get one of the foam inserts for a Pelican Storm Case and cut as necessary to fit Pelican Case of similar size.
