Not gonna do you much good in the trunk. But, you gotta do what the rules say.
I know OHP puts them behind the passenger seat and they train to retrieve it from the drivers seat. Some of them are pretty quick  |

Is it possible to do an overhead mount in the front seat? My FBI neighbor has his overhead & his heavy body armor over the drivers seat.

Would replacing the quad rail with a tubular design similar to a Troy or Midwest Ind. work? Possibly put the short rail section only where required?

We are T&Eing some racks now, and I know some of them secure/lock over the upper/lower assembly. I'll talk with my partner and get some brands for you.
We were also considering the trunk racks, but thanks to a new cagee design we are putting them between the front seats. ste back a little where the divider bumps back in the rear seating area. The bad guy might not be comfortable, but my riflr and shotgun will.  |
