Zahal These are sold by Zahal and maybe other retailers. I ordered one for my S&W M&P15OR. It takes about 3 weeks to be shipped from Israel. The rifle doesn't have a rail or a front sight, only a 1X4 scope. I intend to use this with a VTAC padded sling. This is my first AR and I want to keep it simple and light. Bill |

I've used one, they're ok but it is velcro holding it to itself.
Are you looking to use a 1 point or a two point sling though? What do you mean it doesn't have a rail though? And what hand guard is on the rifle? You can always change the handguard to another one and then attach a sling mount to that. |

This is for a two point sling.
On the S&W M&P15 OR model the hand guard does does not have a rail, it is just a plain hand guard. There is a rail on top of the gas block and under the gas block there is an attachment point for a swivel but that would not be suitable for this sling.
I hear you about the Velcro but my experience with Velcro has been good. Another option is just using para-cord around the ring and I might experiment with that also. I am also experimenting with wrapping the end of the sling around the ring and securing with the two tri-glides at that end. It works but there is no QD feature with that method. Bill |

I gotcha on that, what I was saying is that you could easily switch out the handguard to something like a magpul MOE and have sling attachements added to that. Paracord could be cheap and i'd be curious to see how that works.

I've got one, used it on the buttstock and it was fine. I don't know about the handguards tho.

Thanks for the replies. I guess it will be about another two weeks or so before the product gets delivered and I get to try it out. I'll try to follow up with my opinion of it.

I got two adaptors shipped from Israel within about 10 days of ordering them. I thought that was good service.
I put one on the butt stock by wrapping it around the top and through the slot. The was kind of difficult because the Velcro has to slide past itself. Once in place it is very secure. I wrapped the second one around the D ring and it has been perfect with no slippage so far, but I have only fooled around with it in the house. Using the Vtac sling, the adaptor on the butt stock is not really necessary unless you want to attach some kind of method for a quick disconnect. I think these adaptors come in handy for a rifle where you want to be able to use a Vtac type sling and not use a rail. I am happy with the purchase.
