Saw a new discreet carry bag yesterday surfing. Unfortunately. I did not bookmark it. It is a duffel style bag that has a seperate bottom section for 2 uppers that loads from the end. The flap is a pocket that has the zipper around its attach area. Is can hold 29 inch oal uppers, photo was of a red bag. HELP. I Want one and can't. Find it again!

I use a double tennis racket carry bag.
Ak with stock folded on one side, AR with stock collapsed on the other side and room for some mags etc.

The D-bag is got the idea almost. The bag I saw put the uppers into a bottom compartment from the end of the bag.

I ordered one of those two weeks ago with the extra divider so I can carry two uppers and two lowers. Currently using the Bucket Boss Long Boy but wanted something that could fit more stuff.

I use a soft guitar case. It has plenty of room for the carbine and extra pockets for mags and equipment. People think your going to band practice when you walk out your front door.

Does anyone know a 16 inch barrel AR case where we do not have to break it down,
priced under $100 US that is concealed/ low profile, yet durable?

can you post some pictures of it please? Mostly looking for pictures of your rifles going inside, picture of the flap open with both upper/lower inside, and picture of the bag being lifted off the ground with lower/upper inside

Not to hi jack, but all of the "discrete" soft cases
don't look too discrete to me, so I bought This

It will carry 2 16" AR's, broken down, but nothing
longer. I glued in convoluted foam on the sides
& bottom, and have a couple of loosefull length
pieces, so I can pad the lowers in the middle. The
muzzles kind of nest in the corners & are captured
by the molded in handles for the box. It has an
upper tray that is about 2/3 the length of the box
but you can't use it with any upper that has a
fixed VFG, but I think Magpul AFG's will allow
the use of the tray if your optics are fairly low
profile, and flat top mounted.

The box has a full perimeter rubber gasket, the
clasps are real heavy duty & the box is certainly
strong enough to stand on. I will buy a contractors
soft bag to put my warbelts & chest rigs in.

I get real nervous about carrying what appears to
weapons cases into motels, but with this set up,
you look like a building contractor on the road.

At $29.95, I will probably buy one for camera's, as well.

My $.02 & YMMV

My buddy keeps his weapon in an athletic duffel bag. However athletic gear can also be an interesting target. He has two zippers and he likes to zip both sides up to the middle and pinches underwear in between, giving the illusion it has dirty clothes rather than gear. In his opinion someone looking into you car only has seconds to decide if it's worth grabbing and seeing underwear might be enough to dissuade a thief.

thats not a bad idea to keep a pistol or gun in the house if you dont have a safe, repeat, if you dont have a safe.

I'll see your soft guitar case, tennis bag, sausage duffel, or whatever else you have and propose this-
Dewalt AR case
Halfway down the page is a Dewalt sawz-all case that's been modified for AR carry.

I see two problems- also mentioned by some others.
When shove comes to shoot the assembly would be an issue. You know- the handgun is there only to get you to the rifle (that you shouldn't have to assemble) that you failed to bring in the first place.

Also- as every pawn shop shows- Tools are commonly ditched for fast cash. A Dewalt case on the back seat might make for a quick crime of opportunity.

I agree that tool boxes would be an
immediate target for a would be thief,
but my intention with my tool box is to
get into my room without looking to obvious
that I have several firearms and have some
group of perps wait until 3:15 am to come
get them in mass.

In other words, I will not leave it un-attended
in my room, or in my car.

And it's strong enough to handle the weight
of two carbines, a hand gun or two, and
few mags at a very reasonable price.

Ahhh Hell! My grade school teachers always taught us to read more thoroughly!
Due to this thread I went ahead and ordered the Dewalt SawZall case from Amazon.
Dewalt Case 1/2 down the Dewalt case is shown.
Great case but it'll only work with an AR using a 14" or shorter barrel! The original thread says this, I just didn't read it until it was too late.

Still- it's a great way to carry discreetly, though you still need to assemble to upper/lower.
