THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Anyone has one or have any experience with one??? If it really does what it says, I'm buying 2 before the ATF outlaws it...

They work great, I have one on an AR 9mm. Very fun and controllable, plus a hell of a lot cheaper than a class 3 gun.

Overpriced and ugly plastic crap. You can get the same results with a rubber band. And if the ATF outlaws it, you will have to give it up or risk jailtime/fines if caught with it.

They work exactly as shown in the videos. They have been on the market since December 2010.

Slide Fire has sold over 50,000 units and nothing has come back from ATF to make me believe that they will reverse their original determination that these are legal.

They are also available for the AK47.

google the phrase: rubber band bump firing

there are several youtube videos of it, a lot cheaper than spending $300 on a cheap ugly stock

I got tired of waiting on my form 4 so I got one. No problem getting three round burst but thats it. No mag dumps like the youtube videos. Trying to resolve that issue to no avail.

I have one for an old AK...Total mag dumps from the shoulder (aimed) easy as pie the second time I tried it...it does feel like cheap plastic but it works well for me.
There, I said it...Don't tell me you weren't thinking the same thing!

I just want to go to the backyard, get a stick, and clean this thread off the bottom of my shoe....

That's gotta be a jarring experience

Yup.

Mine runs on my 6450 without so much as a hiccup.

Loads of fun. Now if I can just get it to work on my S&W M&P 15-22 ....

I for one have never been fond of these kinds of gadgets and feel $375 is a rip for a $15 piece of injected molded plastic, but a friend got one a few months ago and we tried it this weekend and it worked really well...30 round mag dumps not an issue....I would not buy one, but it was fun.

But buyers aren't just buying plastic, they are purchasing partial, highly limited ownership of an ingenuous idea.

That was so smooth it was almost boring...There aren't many people that can do it that smooth and easy with a rubber band or traditional bump fire...maybe a few but not enough to matter. Slidefire for the win

Sorry but if you own it before the atf bans it you are granfathered. At least from what I know. Just like preban m16s.

The ATF ultimately had nothing to do with banning full auto. If they deem it illegal, you are required to give it up or go to jail if you get caught with it. They can basically make laws on a whim.

You are probably going to need to read about the Akins Accelerator to see how the ATF can very easily change its mind and snatch up all copies of something that they approved..From what I understand the Slidefire people did a better job of presenting to the ATF exactly what they intended to market but I still made sure I bought mine cash.

This guy is a dealer and I think some kind of relative of the slide fire guy. He's been warned about shilling before so adios.

I had to kick the slide fire guy off ages ago

Nope. ATF has made people turn in stuff that they decided was illegal long after it was sold.

slidefire's website has a list of retailers around the country...one of the guys was right down the street from where I work

ETA: I'm in no way affilliated with the company...

what does buying it in cash do? if the atf decides it is illegal it doesn't matter if you paid with cash or didn't. you'll have an illegal "machine gun" and will face the same penalties as having an unregistered sbr, silencer, fully automatic rifle, etc etc.

yeah that's pretty obvious......OK...what if I sell it between now and some hypothetical time that it becomes illegal? Do I have to provide proof to the agents standing on my front door in 2018 that I had sold that stock years before? What if I really did lose it in a boating accident? Think they will believe that? If I need to turn it in fine but I'd rather have as much choice to the when/how as possible. The fewer government agents in your living room asking accusatory questions the better as far as I'm concerned

All I'm saying is if you plan on doing something illegal, don't post about it on a public message board. :)
