THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT http://jerkingthetrigger.wordpress.com/2010/12/28/review-2-to-1-point-tri-glide-from-impact-weapon-components/ (Lots of pics at the link, I don't want to bring his content back here.) This looks like another cool little widget from IWC/Mount-N-Slot. It's a tri-glide that has an attached QD socket / mounting hole for HK or MASH hooks. You thread this on to your existing sling and viola! an instant 1/2 point convertible sling like a MS2 I'm getting a chance to try one myself and will report back! I'll be testing it on a carbine that has QD slinging using a DD Omega up front, a Noveske QD endplate and a Boonie Packer 2P-TQA sling. |

Neat little invention.
It doesnt seem like it will ride as smoothly as a dedicated one point but thats not really the point. At least having the option available to the end user is what is attractive. |

We also have one coming for T&E! I like the concept, it's a simple, low cost solution that solves some issues for people who tend to like certain qualities of both single and two point slings! Can't wait to try it out to see if it works as well as I think it will!! Nice work IWC!

Great idea...What about one wide enough to fit a VCAS sling?

Thank for linking to the blog Heavyduty. It was really cool to be able to lay hands on the 2 To 1 Point Tri-Glide for this review.

At least having the option available to the end user is what is attractive. It doesn't sit quite as flat as the triangular "buckle" that Gear Sector uses on their single point slings (not many slings do, Gear Sector makes a killer single point) but it works really well. It lays very flat and it quite comfortable. Like you said, it isn't meant to be a dedicated single point. It is meant to give 2 point sling users the option to transition to a single point. I can't believe what a simple and well executed little widget this is. |

These things are slicker then butter on a bald monkey.
I put one on my Gear Sector GS2P. It works great. I'll get some pictures up in the near future. ETA I have one that I've been testing on my Gear Sector 2 point. So far so good. I've had a death in the family, so I'm running behind on pics and a review. |

I agree with Lancelot! These things are slick! The idea is so simple its crazy that no other manufacturer thought of this! The machining is very typical of all IWC products, PERFECT! For such a small part it's nice to see that no corners were cut. The 2 to 1 Point Tr-Glide is fully CNC machined, edges have been slightly rounded allowing the sling to be easily and quickly adjusted without causing wear to the sling webbing, finishing and laser engraving look extremely good, and the QD portion has been machined slightly bigger to accommodate a number of QD push button adapters. We should have some photos up soon but our initial impressions, with very limited use, has been very favorable! Great job IWC!

I just got home from work and had mine waiting for me. As said they are super slick and well engineered just as all IWC stuff is. Won't be able to try it out or post pics for a few days though. Me and the wife are taking a long weekend in Georgia starting the minute we get off work tomorrow so no time to mess with it til after we get back.

Well after a busy week and a half after I got mine, I finally got to install it and try it out this afternoon. Once again Earl and the guys at IWC have done a great job. It works just as advertised. I was never one for the concept of a single point sling, but I actually like it now that I tried it. I wouldn't give up two point for it, but that is the beauty of this part. Now you can easily switch on the fly. I even get to keep the QD's which are my preferred mounting method.

You definetly have my attention with that set up.
I got rid of my single point. It beat me to death when transitioning and moving. I went to a Vickers 2 point, which I like, but with your idea, I can have both worlds. Dave |

I just got a few 1.25" versions of these in for T&E (thanks Earl!). Very, very slick mounted up on my usual Boonie Packer 2P-TQA sling! Pics to follow.
