Great thread. Is a 44" chest really needed for the TL bungee sling?

To save retelling the story, here's what's up with that mount:
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_19/665749_New_45__QD_mount_for_Noveske_NSR_handguards.html

The short of it is, I haven't found a KeyMod QD mount I like so I made one exactly the way I wanted it.

Loving the MS3 Gen 2 with the quick adjust slider, and the attachment points are just basic paracord which has been working very well.

IWC handstop, and RSA sling attachment point mounted up too.

great pics folks. I want a buttstock that works well with a rear sandbag. A storage cpmpartment would be nice. I also need the collapse feature. ANy suggestions?

Question - I there a search engine on this site?

The search button is near top or bottom nav bars of buttons on each page of this site.

The stock you are describing may be best found in the Magpul ACS-L or ACS stocks. There may be other options.

I decided to make my own sling for my 9mm AR pistol. Went with the 2 color cobra knot, black and red parachord. For my first attempt I have to say im pretty happy with it. Its extremely comfy and strong. Made a few mistakes along the way, could tighten up my knots. Throwing a king cobra over it to finish it off and clean it up a bit. Should have it done tonight.

King Cobra start

Finished product!

The lovely and talented Brenda

Base is Bushmaster ORC.

UPPER: Aimpoint PRO, Magpul flipup open sights.
UTG Pro Slimline FF forend, Olight Warrior, YHM comp. BCM Gunfighter charging handle.

LOWER: Fab Defense Mag Stock, Magpul grip. CMC Trigger, lefty safety, ambi mag release.
Blue Force Gear sling.

Lovin it. Runs 100% and plenty accurate. CMC Trigger is the best thing ever. This particular Bushy had a beast of a trigger out of the box. My brother has two ORCs and neither were near as bad. Tried polishing up the Bushy parts, made it better but still not nice. The CMC is crisp and almost too light, but I'll get used to it.

Just the basic Magpul MS1 (MAG513) black two point sling at front mounted on side sling swivel mounted on barrel below the FSB at the rear mounted on factory supplied Colt heavy duty push button QD sling swivel (with flat button head 2012 model).

The sling is mounted on a Colt LE6920 2012 configuration M4 carbine with Troy folding rear BUIS and B5 Systems Bravo SOPMOD buttstock, the carbine had the original factory detachable carry handle and Colt Defense-Rogers SuperStoc with the friction lock lever and QD sling mounts.

I'm looking to get a better a sling, but I want it to attach at the same points.
So I'm looking at the "Magpul MS3 Single QD Sling GEN2"
attach the QD at the buttstock, and the paraclip on the A2
I will replacing all the furniture with Magpul, or something better.
maybe drill a hole in the handguard and mount a sling point close the front sight, rather then the delta ring.

New guy here. Been looking around on here for quite awhile though. I picked up my first AR about a month ago. It's a Radical firearms with the 15" free floated keymod rail. So far I've done the BCM gunfighter pistol grip, rail covers and short vert grip all in foliage green. I put on a MFT bare minimalist buttstock also in foliage. Then I topped it off with Magpul MBUS pro's and a Vortex strike eagle mounted in an Aero precision lightweight SPR mount. I went with a Proctor sling with the 550 cord ends. I love this sling! It's extremely lightweight, easy to attach with no swivels or anything else needed and is dead quiet. I also like how smooth it is to adjust. I have a Magpul MS4 sling on my AK and it's slider buckle isn't near as smooth as this one and it cost over twice as much.

I've moved the front sling point back behind the vert grip since this picture. When switching back and forth between shoulders it got in the way sometimes and I ended up with it between my hand the the vert grip.

Also does anybody know why my pictures show up as links?? I had this same problem when I tried sharing the pictures in the new member thread. When I hit "preview" it shows the pictures in the thread but when I hit "submit" the post looks like this with just the links?? I share pictures on other forums and it works fine.

Ok, thank you for the quick answer. I kind of had a feeling that it was something to do with being a noob. I saw where I'm limited to 2,000 characters also.

A rubber band would do, but the little gadget I made is adjustable and much more durable  It started as an attempt to make our own swag to give to friends and repeat customers, but it's too good to keep it a secret (more than half of our swag isn't for sale)
