OK...here is the new 1-4 mounted.  I managed to scratch the damn battery cover already.  Tried to get the storage cover off and scratched with my wrench.  Thought I had the wrench covered with fabric; oh well.  The scope is sweet and illumination works well.  Will zero this puppy tomorrow.

Just got an email from them on my inquiry to my order. They are expecting another shipment on 22 Dec 14. Worth the wait for what this cost and from what I have read from folks who got theres, defenitely worth the wait.

ATTENTION

We are currently out of stock of this item. We will not be able to ship any new orders until mid April 2015. Due to this unexpected delay we are giving away a FREE SWFA S.S.A.L.T mount with every purchase made from 12-5-14 to 04-14-2015. Sorry for the delay.
So if you ordered the scope and mount before 1205 will you be charged for both when they finally ship???????

Damn. What about the ones that were purchased during the promo period that are on hold until march? Still on the hook for the mount?

I would assume so. Most of those back orders will receive the Black Friday prices on the scope and the mount.
The free mount is for those who order the scope and pay the full price.
Black Friday back order is still cheaper than a free mount back order.

First 10 rds sighting this baby in. Still needs a few little adjustments. First shot was all the way at the bottom. Worked my way up. 50 yds, cold as hell

How about a pic of it mounted on your rifle too

Mine just arrived yesterday.  Appears to be very well built, very positive clicks on adjustment.  I'm not sure I like the exposed turrets on a 1-4 but we will see.
Comparing to the MTAC the reticle is TINY.  I think this will be an excellent choice for a more precise optic vs the MTAC.
Glass appears to be about the same as the Burris in clarity an distortion.  (potato pic - all I have at the moment)

Is this the SS or HD version? What power is the setting in this pic?  Am hoping the batch they are supposed to get on the 22nd this month yields mine being shipped.

thanx for the pics! maybe I should trade you a good camera for that scope Seriously thinking of canceling my order as the delivery date keeps slipping farther and farther away.  SWFA is notorious for this so I think it is time to buy elsewhere. There has to be a comparable unit from another source. Any recommendations????
Thanx TG

Mine appears at least a little better than my  Burris Tac30 and my Vortex PST.
To my eyes anyway.

I'm impressed with mine.

lowlight vision through the scope seems identical to naked eye, no shading at all.

In the pic I posted you can see it was kinda foggy, you can also see a red steel pig(about the worst color to paint steel, wasn't me) at the far left backer board.
That's 700 yds, I was easily able to pick it up and even hit it, the pic DOES NOT do this scope justice.

Just got mine today. WOW. Sweet scope. My 1st 1-4x24 scope. Some poor guy tried to use a foreign CC that SWFA apparently doesn't accept so I got his order. Feel bad for the guy as this is a great scope. With just playing around with it at different ranges, having a little difficult time seeing the range markers. I have glasses plus I am a bit old so until I mount this scope, won't know for sure if this will be an issue. Just have to figure out which rifle it goes on. DPMS 308 oracle w/16 inch barrel or my KAK 308 pistol w/10.5 inch barrel. So far though, this is a solid scope for 299!

Ordered one earlier morning about the 29th. Hope these people weren't from stock. They incurred my personal card, after that credited again the amount of money nowadays. I have come across businesses perform in which to ensure the particular money is in the card then not really officially charge this 'til it ships. Both approach I am truly excited. We have any larue LT111 mount holding out for that, but kick myself with regard to not really ordering a ssalt too. I will be somewhat concerned the eye relief will will need a forward offset.

For those that already have this scope, is it a good scope ?

Can you rapidly acquire a sight picture from a short distance very fast ?

I was planing on getting an Aimpoint T1 but I have been reconsidering this for a scope like this.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Yes; it is the best scope I ever owned for my AR-10.  It is the best at this price however I have owned Leupy MRT scopes and I like this better.  True 1-4 with the best ranging reticle I have seen.  Simple and effective.  Illuminated.  I also own an Aimpoint.  It is nice as well, but no magnification.  I want to reach out with the AR-10.  I have the Aimpoint on the AR-15 carbine.  You will not be disappointed in this scope and it is worth waiting for it.
