Just wondering if anyone knows how well the bdc works with barrels shorter then the 14.5 or 16 inch that trijicon calibrates for. Mostly from 100-300 meters.  Which from what I understand those compensations are built in to the reticle it self.

I run TA31's (the 4x models) on my 11.5" LMT's...and at 100-300 yards, the bdc lines are going to be very close.

I shot this combo out to just over 500 yards and was able to get on target using the 500 yard reticle line held closer to the top of the target.

This was done shooting 62gr. M855, but I'm an idiot and can't remember at the moment whether I've got it zeroed at 50 or 100 yards.

The FPS difference between the 11.5, 14.5 and 16 are not overly drastic. When you drop down to 10.3, you tend to lose a lot of velocity.

I'm having the same debate, whether to put the TA11 or the COMP M4s on the SBR

found this and it inspired confidence. about 100 fps or less between 14.5 n 11.5 so my BDC shouldn't be much of an issue since a cartridge can have that much variation just from round to round. obviously we'd already established that, but still good to see some numbers.

Yeah, that's the same post and table that I have been looking at. Most of the other sites and forums say about the same as far as muzzle velocity for the 11.5.
