What would you folks recommend for a 40mm AR scope. I have a 3 x 9 x 40mm Shepard that I have used with two peice rings in the past.

QD is not essential as I use a 65 pounr torque wrench on a 30mm Leupold now for a 56mm scope on another rifle and that returns to zero pretty well.

Under $100 would be great but would consider going higher.

I use one of these, but my scope is a 4-16-x42 (and long as hell, so i wanted the 3" offset).

Thanks guys,

I do not see any infor about ring height or the space between rings on either companys web site.

How much distance is there froom the flats on hand guard to bottom of objective end of scope? Do oyu have a normal cheek weld or do you have to tilt your head off stock?

For a rugged fixed one piece cantilever AR specific mount at standard height for AR stock cheekweld, consider the Leupold Mark 2 IMS. Specs includind ring spacing and amount of forward offset may be on Leupold's website or they can suply it. It should work fine with typical 3-9x40mm scopes. I am not familiar with the Shepard (Shepherd?) scopes. I think the mount's street price is about $100.
