hey folks,

im going to buy an aimpoint h1 or t1 in the near future.
didnt really know if i want to pay about 150$ more for the t1, cause i got a sweet deal on an h1.

im searching for a good mount with co-witness.
the mount from daniel defense for example are only for 1/3.
mounts like american defense do produce co-witness, but they are only tagged for using with an T and not an H...
do they also work with H1?!

best would be, if you suggest me the best bang for the buck H1 mount and T1 mount Co-Witness!

thx very much!!!

I actually had the H-1 with a VMX-3t 3x magnifier. I also had the daniel defense Aimpoint Micro Lower 1/3rd mount. Unless you really want QD I would suggest the DD mount. It is very lightweight at 1.7oz and it is extremely durable and good looking (very slim profile and mounts to picatinny perfectly w/o movement). Also, as I have read and experienced 1st hand with the mount, you really want to lower 1/3rd witness the mount because of the smaller optic size compared to the aimpoint pro. Absolute co-witness takes a good portion of visual field which actually hinders the quickness and your reaction time. I would say Absolute co-witness if you had a full size or a slightly more compact red-dot but with the micro Aimpoint i would highly suggest the Daniel Defense mount.

Buy the h1 from larue with mount. It is a good price when u buy both.

The t1 has settings to work with night vision.

thx for the answers!

1) are the mounts (larue, dd, american defense) made for H1 AND T1?

2) i got a sweet deal for this one aimpoint h1 without mount
where can i get the screws for installing it on a mount?! or are they included when buying the mount/aimpoint

3) 1/3 cowittness: do i need to rise my cheek away from the weapon?

thx!!!

My H1 came with an American Defense absolute cowitness mount. It works great.

1) the T1 and H1 use the same mounts.
2) I know my American Defense mount came with screws.
3) You need to slightly raise your cheek (head).  Not a big deal.  I have both type of mounts.  I use absolute on my 30mm aimpoints and the lower 1/3 on the micros (even without a fixed front sight).  Seems easier to use with the smaller 20mm tube.

I think the lower 1/3 mounts are 7mm higher.  don't quote me on that though.
