Hello,

I am strongly considering the Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP with EBR-1 MOA with an American Defense Manufacturing mount. I will be putting it on a Les Baer M4 flat top. I will either go with the AD-Scout, or the AD-Recon mount.

My question is whether I should use the regular cantilever or the extended cantilever version (the X-versions) of either. I want to get the eye relief correct the first time around and not have to ship the mount back. Also, is one QD throw lever on the Scout enough versus the two levers of the Recon model? I’m not going to be crawling through rocks and mud and stuff.

Suggestions?

The regular Recon should work IMO.  The Recon X seems a bit over the top.

Also I would prefer the 2 QD levers.  I have an AD Recon myself and it's been solid on my 7.62 AR.
