Pictures the Burris MTAC from my variable optics buyers guide. Obviously geared towards new shooters.

Nice picture, but you should scatter a few rounds here and there.

I need to snag me a MTAC. The reticle is very fast on 1x and glass compares to a Vortex PST 1-4 imo.

What did you use for lighting? Any kind of soft box or just regular household lights? It looks nice to me. I sold all my camera gear and am now trying to build it back up.

I'm into macro photography.

It's actual size is about half of my pinky nail. It's a jumping spider. You probably wouldn't even notice if one jumped on you.

It's amazing how something so tiny has so many details and hair and what not.

OP, nice looking rig.  Question:  Does that Burris scope have that much eye relief?  I know everyone mounts an AR stock a bit differently, but even nose to charge handle has me with just about any scope a bit farther back than I see in those pics.

I thought the big eyes and fuzzy hair make it look kinda cute, like a cartoon animal. You should see some of the other nasty evil looking spiders that's out there.

Good write up. You've provided a good resource which answers a lot of the basic questions for newbs considering the LPVO option.

Just a lightbox and florescent lights overhead.

Thanks!
