I'm contemplating on getting a set of offset irons for my rifle. I currently run a 1-4x scope. I have a set of mbus (sighted in @25 yds) but I do not keep them on, just in my range bag. If my optic breaks Im not in a do or die situation so there's really no need to keep them on. but they would be a fun thing to have while shooting around in the woods. Are they useful or just the next tacticool thing to buy? For those of you who have them which ones and do you even use them? (3 gun exempt). My options range from the cheap offset picatinny mounts (for my mbus) to the $250+  sets. What setups are you currently running and do you like it/use them?

KAC.  I resisted for a while but decided that I "needed" a set.

I thought about an offset T1 but then I'm back to possible battery or other failure...so I went offset BUISs.

I have a set of Dueck Defense RTS and KAC offset BUIS. The DD are fixed and ready to use and the rear sight is A2 style. The only negative is because it is fixed sights it can be a small nuisance when putting the rifle away in a gun bag while the KAC offsets can be stowed for a lower profile.
