What would be the thinnest buis out there that might fit under the scope with some clearance. I am using a Nikon 3x32 in a PA arms cheap one piece mount. Thanks............

Thinnest and best may not be the same.  That said, my favorite is the KAC micro 0-600 adjustable rear sight.  It should be plenty slim to fit under your setup.

What's the difference between their regular flip up rear and a "micro" flip up rear sight? Not as tall when flipped up, or not as high profile when folded down?

KAC Micro's are a lower profile when folded down.  The rear peep sight is standard height when unfolded and works with a fixed FSP or any of the standard height flip up front sights.

I also like the KAC micro sights, but the metal Magpul sights are also quite slim when folded. I think these 2 are your best options.

I'm using Noveske marked Troy sights under a Larue SPR-E mounted Vortex PST.  Works just fine:

I fit a standard Magpul under my Nikon 3x... Used their rings 2pc rings, no issues

Another vote for KAC

But I hear the Magpul Pros and Spikes are pretty awesome too

Assuming the scope mount is the standard height, placing the centerline of the scope at least 1.5" above the TOP of the rail, just about any folding rear backup will fit under that scope eyepiece.

The problem is solved by staying with AR specific mounts and avoiding mounts that are too low.  There are a few scopes with larger diameter eyepieces that might require a higher mount, but OP's is not one of them.

My older model Troy with Nikon 3-9X40 hunting scope on LaRue LT104 SPR/ M4 QD mount.

As you could see plenty of room between the bottom of the scope and the BUIS, Troy are 0.460" above the rail folded.

If you're interested with the Troy I would suggest getting older model made before mid 2013 which have a better mounting design than current the model.

Here are some BUIS folded heights comparison from my personal notes:

KAC Micro 200-600m  ~ 0.500" (a member measured 0.470" standard old model not the Micro)
Troy - 0.460"
MI MCTAR-SPLP - 0.4375"
Diamondhead - 0.435"
YHM QDS - 0.435"
Magpul MBUS Pro ~ 0.370"
KAC 300m - 0.315" (old model not the Micro)

I just received and installed a pair of MBUS Pro sights today. They are VERY low profile and I imagine would give almost any scope plenty of clearance. Magpul really hit a home run with these sights....

Yup, easy to zero and easy to flip up as well.
