Thought I'd start a thread were people can post pics and reviews of the used optics recently offered by Law Guns. I was a bit hesitant to order as I had never heard of them. I also was a bit leary purchasing a used optic. By used, I mean really used (as described on their web site).

I ended up ordering and EOTech SU-231 (533) and what I received was quite a bit better than expected. Aside from needing a good cleaning, the glass is perfect, everything works and the optic holds zero. I had heard bad things about the early versions of the ARMS mounts, but they too work flawlessly.

I'm curious (and I'm sure that others are as well) how other optics ordered from this sight have turned out and whether people are happy with what they got (for the price paid).

Law Guns is also selling used Aimpoint M68/CCO's (Comp M2's) so feel free to post those as well. Lets see what you've got!

My 553 on arrival:

Why must you tease me like this?

I kept that page up for nearly a full day looking at the stock tick down, reminding myself that as great a price it was, there were other things I needed the money for.  The Aimpoints are out, too.

But I'm not missing it when if they ever get 'em again!

These are legit? I thought the military didn't trade in/DRMO these types of things.

Not sure. They appear to have military markings.

As far as I know, they are prepping their 4th batch of 553's. I'd really like some feedback from other people who went in on this as I suspect I got the "pick of the litter" for the batch I was part of. I think I purchased the first 553 in batch #2. If it looks like most of the 553's are in decent shape, I am going to pick up a few more as soon as they become available again.

If they came from where I think they came from, the rules might be slightly different.  I wouldn't know the exact details, but it's not without precedent.

PRI sold a couple of early MK 12 MOD 0 uppers with Gen. 1 tubes several years back, too, in much a similar situation (i.e. trade in your old stuff for new, updated stuff).

No interest in the 553s, but the price on the M2s... Yeah, I'll pick one up.

I am going to grab a 553 when they get back in stock.

Good buy OP, and which carbine will it get mounted on? How about a photo of that?

Unit level purchase and trade in? I bought (and later sold) a vital I think was like that a while back.

Can confirm that the M2 I received was in good condition. Considering the example pictures they have and expecting it to arrive used, I'd call it excellent condition compared to what I expected. The tube had some wear and a ding or a scratch, but between the lens caps it is 100% It came with a Wilcox mount that is pretty solid, too. I ordered one from another batch for a different rifle and look forward to receiving that one this week.

I will order a third for a .22 build and maybe a 4th as a Christmas gift if the opportunity arises again.

I like it! This is going to sound odd but I really like the fact that they are genuinely "worn". Unless I start throwing my ARs down the proverbial driveway, my optics are never going to look like this. It makes for a great look on a clone build.

Also...How's the glass and dot?

Killer deals on there, I'm definitely going to try to get in on the next batch.

Second one is here. It's more worn and painted, but came with a kill flash. Took these pics during its disassembly. Any ideas on removing paint?

Also, my buddy received 2. One missing a cap and with the Wilcox mount which he says was tightened a bit too much and started to dent the tube. His other came on a standard Aimpoint low mount, not a Wilcox. Looks like these ones towards the end were a bit more rough, but between the lenses they're great.

Now just to decide what to put it on...

So, I'm guessing Eotech isn't going to honor warranties on these if something happens to one. Anyone have a summary of the hit we'd take on out of warranty repairs? (Note: I am not saying these will break or that they aren't a smoking deal, I am just curious.)

Anyone have any suggestions for cleaning the lens of an Aimpoint? mine are a little dirty and it appears to be messing with the red dot showing up clearly...

Just received my M2 a couple of minutes ago. I'm debating whether to leave it as is or to try and remove the paint. If I were to remove the paint, how would I go about doing that? Who ever mounted it, mounted it at an angle

Overall I'm happy with it, it's a great deal and I can't complain.

Use some Acetone, brass or stainless wire brush, and a rag to get the paint off.

For what it's worth, they have 4 EOTech  533's available for $325 each. I just purchased one so there's 4 left. Until I saw this post today, I wouldn't have given an EOtech a second look, I just never cared for how they looked. But based on the review here, and the fact I don't have a NV compatible optic yet, I made a spontaneous decision and just bit the bullet. I may end up putting this on an AUG-A3. Weren't they previously $350? I hope it's not too beat up.

They were $325,  mine will be here Tues

ETA  Aimpoints are no longer on their website

Anyone else notice quite a few of these eotechs showing  up in the EE?

Have you thought about mounting it correctly?  Looks like it's loose or someone threw that together to ship.

Same here about the same time. I checked back about 20 minutes later to look around at the rest of the site and they were removed. Hopefully that's not a sign that they won't be carrying them anytime soon. I really want one or three
