BSA are really only good for .22lr
Yes some people will give me flak for it but this is how i gre up by this for firearms: Your scope should match your firearm. I say your scope should be at least half of what your firearm is. Whats the point investing alot of money into a firearm when you cant see your target. BSA quality lacks very much. for the price range I would rather get a bushnell banner scope. Better glass easily For myself Id get a Buckmaster 4.5-14X40 mildot. Granted triple the price but easliy 10times the product Some other High quality glass: Bushnell Banner6-24X40 mil-dot about $200 Nikon P-223 3-9X40 with turrets assuming for AR-15 $200 Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 BDC about 200 My main point dont go with it because its cheap, go with because its the best you can afford and if you have to wait a couple paychecks to get it then save. Does no one save anymore? Just use that guide line for buying optics half the cost to cost. Opens many choices but more importantly you will be happy with it |

Don't waste your money on BSA or "countersniper" optics...just crap.

I have a BSA .22 Special (4X32) on my Ruger 10/22, it came with the rifle as a package deal so the scope was basically free. I think its quality is marginal at best but in my opinion BSA stuff belongs on a .22 or high power air rifle at best. No way I would put it on anything like an AR platform rifle..... I will likely replace it with something that has a little better quality along with adjustable power. Hell the glass that came with my Gamo Whisper (3-9X40) is much nicer but that starts to get blurry in the higher power settings....anything over 6-7X. You dont have to spend a ton to get a decent quality optic but if you want great quality your gonna have to be willing to drop some $$$$.

I have a BSA Contender. It's on a Ruger 77/22 and puts ragged one-holers in targets at 50 yards. Never tried it on anything else, but works great for the 22.
Spend a little more money and get quality glass for your AR. |
