I couldn't make up my mind between an EOTech EXPS3 with G33 magnifier, the Aimpoint CompM4, or an ACOG ECOS... so I did what any rational human being would do and got them all

Push both the optic and magnifier to the front of the receiver so you have room for a BUIS.

Until I'm going into combat (and at 47 years old, that's not likely to happen), I find BUIS irrelevant myself. Don't get me wrong, all of my rifles have them (and good ones) simply because everyone says the same thing and I bought into it -- "you just have to have BUIS or you ain't operator enuf..."

Well, I have yet to use them outside of sighting them in and flipping them back down, where they have stayed since that time.

I have ACOGs, Aimpoints, and EOTechs, and I've never had one fail or found it necessary to switch to BUIS. So I call phooey on BUIS for the overwhelming majority of we middle-aged Jason Bourne wannabe couch potatoes who grunt when we get out of our chairs. BUIS are nothing more than bling for the masses.

Today I stepped up and dove into the world of EOTech. Just recently upgraded from the Aimpont CompM3 to the EXPS3-0.

Eotech 512.A65 on a GunEnvy AR-15.

Just picked up my Eotech from UPS today.

Sig Sauer M400 Enhanced
Added the BAD lever because locking the bolt back without it is annoying
Added the fore grip because holding the magwell felt comfortable, just too close to me for constant use comfortably

Eotech 512 was mounted one slot too far forward in the picture, I've since moved it back one so that it's not touching the top of the handguard

Needs a flashlight and it'll be good to go!

Is this a movie still or something?  The only thing I can think of is some Hollywood prop guy fucking this up.  I refuse to believe this is an actual Mil/LE/Gov guy using an EOTech mounted backwards.

Its nice to know that our LEOs are confirming zero before they go out and get involved in a possible shootout in someone's neighborhood.... terrible.  Then you wonder why some departments are so restrictive as far as modifications.

ETA:  I kinda feel bad for this guy... that is seriously humiliating.

According to this article and a few others, he's SWAT, somewhere in NY.
