I saw somewhere that someone makes a folding rear iron sight for flat tops. Does anyone make a folding front sight? This way, the iron sights do not get in the way of my red dot when but would be instantly available if batteries failed. If someone DOESN'T make this they should.

I have the Bushmaster front sight and it seems well made and works well. I haven't tried any other brand. The ARMS 40 is the best flip-up rear sight I've tried. (I liked the first one so much I bought two more.) That said, I don't use a flip-up front sight with my EO-Tech. While the standard sight is visible, I don't find it to interfere with the EO-Tech.

I checked out the Bushmaster front sight at the fun show this last weekend. I dont like it cause it has a little but of play when its deployed. It also seems like rough combat conditions could sheer the locking mechanism. I think if someone were to come out with a #40 type front folding sight they'd have a winner! For now I'm going to stick with the DPMS removable front sight and the #40. I'll have it setup with my #40 always mounted behind my optic, and the DPMS front sight in a carry pouch on my sling. I'll only mount the front sight (ahead of time) if I'm in conditions where the optic may fail.

The best folding rear sight is the ARMS 40. Make sure you get one with the full aperature as the small aperature looks funny with the top missing and make sure its the new design. The best flip up front sight is the PRI. It does not ahve a bayonette lug. Its the only one that wont break if it takes a hard blow while up. You can get the PRI sight and ARMS 40 from MSTN. The best front sight EVER will be the folding/spring loaded/locking unit by KAC next year. It will come with and without bayonette lug.
