Bought a pile of magazines from a friend for cheap, came across what looks to be an original pmag. Is it worth anything?

The original windowed aluminum mag or an early plastic one?

in my experience they cause issues in non AR STANAG compatible guns.  My FNC hates them but runs fine with M2 PMAGs.  So what did I do, I gave my gen 1 mags away to friends, now when they want to shoot my FNC, what do they show up with?  So it causes more issues...   Next time a buddy does that, I am going to throw the mag on the deck and put several rounds through it.

Well yeah, they won't work in non-AR guns. They never were compatible with anything else. That's why the gen M3 and Emag exist.

If you are young enough they may have some collector value when you are 70

My only unreliable mag left in my collection is a Gen 1 Pmag. Causes double feeds 1/4 of the time with loaded mag dump.

It's not worth much. Most of my Gen 1 are flawless though. Come to think of it, I may have thrown that one in the trash.
