Issue with the series 1 Hexmag was that feed lips would spread when left loaded. Decided to try the new series 2, and glad I did!!!

NO MORE FEED LIP SPREAD WHEN LEFT LOADED. Color me happy. They are now on my buy list.

I just got in some Hexmags and didn't know about the feed lip issue.  How can you tell the 2nd generation magazines from the 1st ones?

This.

We can get Hexmags in Colorado but they are plugged to 15 rds. They have a short spring and extended base plate. You can, by design, snap off the extension and add a full size spring for full capacity. Which most stores have right beside the mags.

They say it on the mag, at the top. Mine say "series 1", haven't got my series 2 in yet but I assume they say what they are

My 1st gen Hexmag doesn't have stripper clip guides and it looks like the new ones do.

Never had any issues with Gen I hexmags, my SBR seems to love them, might as well pick up some Gen II.

Their CS is great. They replaced my S1 with no problems at all.

I just bought two Gen2 to try. They feel pretty nice.

We'll see how they run.

I am not happy to read that. These mags seem pretty nice and I was looking forward to adding a few gen 2s to the collection. I will stand by to see what happens with this story, not sure if I want to write them off yet.

After the experience I had with my series 1 mags I'll never buy their garbage again. My issues had ZERO to do with feed lips spreading too, they're just pieces of garbage. I loaded them at the range and they still jammed several times each. Mine went out in the garbage several weeks ago.

WOW. Don't need to support a company with issues like THAT....

Why would anyone bother with an unproven mag like that?  Magpuls and GI mags are cheap, work, and are the most tested mags out there.

I don't get it.

There is nothing unique about those mags other than the dumb honeycomb design.

While I know they aren't combat prove, they are a good alternative for those of us behind enemy lines in regards to their 10/30 and 15/30 mags. Troy 10/30 poly mags (in my experience) are absolutely horrible, and split feed lips.

Now if Magpul were to come out with mags that were a 10/30 for us ban states, I probably wouldn't even look at any other mags; to be honest.
