Please provide feedback related to PMAG 40 M3's.  anyone experience problems?

Obviously they aren't intended for bench shooting.  Don't appear to alter balance and provide extra capacity.  Weight difference vs 30's are negligible.  Cheaper and easier to carry compared to PMAG D60.

Thanks

They've worked for me. No issues, beyond normal PMAGs-don't-fit-all-billet-lowers issues.

There is a weight difference, not much in magazine, but in the ammo.

Shooting from prone with them sucks.

One thing to keep in mind is that, assuming you are doing administrative reloads often, you will have more ammo in your partial magazines than with 30s. That's why I only use a few 40s, for bedside guns or the first magazine in the rifle while stomping around. After that I want 30s.

I use them for 3 gun, they work. As long as you dont go prone

Empties drop free using mag release on 6920 and tOBR.

There is a slight curve, I'll try various rounds 52 - 77 g next time at the range.

Thanks

I used two last year quite a bit and they were fine.

I thought they were great for shooting prone, especially in taller grass.  I monopod on the mag like you're supposed to....

Got about 10 of em.
Best $19 mag deal out there, imo

I have not had issue with mine.  Best deal for a mag over 30 period!

No problems for me on these.

As others have said, they are a bit long so 30 rounders are more convenient most of the time.

My favorite Pmag. Never a failure in fa or semi. I bought 2 cases. Now I'm just waiting on a window version.

I'm waiting on a quad stack. 40 sticks up too much in plate carrier pockets. Surefire is a little better, but too expensive.

I have had zero issues with the three I have.  The only drawback is the length.

I have 4 of them. They drop free just fine from my 4 forged lowers and 1 Arfcom billet lower. Feed and function has been 100%

Has anyone tried to burp them?
By "burp" I mean smack a loaded mag to see if a few rounds will pop out.

Any mag will do that if you try hard enough.

I just did it with a 30 and 40 round Gen M3.
