I was wondering if anyone knew of a flat sided 223/556 metal mag...

I built a 7.62x39 and got this mag... I want to try and replicate one for a matching 223 upper...

The only reason the mag is shaped like that is for the 7.62x39 rounds. You won't find a 223/5.56 mag shaped like that.

He's asking for a metal 223/556 mag with flat sides, with no vertical ribs stamped into it so he can try and replicate the chevrons on it.

OP, you would have to cut the magazine in half lengthwise to be able to put those chevrons in the sides, and then weld it back-up afterwards. Doable....likely. Practical, not so much.

Yes night shade but wasn't thinking quite as elaborate...maybe just that sticky grip paper cut into "chevrons" .....thinking since I cant find one to just fill the stamped grooves in a usgi and paint it black...
