Any issues with keeping these mags loaded for extended periods of time (months+)?  Spring problems?

You will get some people telling you this has been asked many times OP and it has. But you may not know that.

Rest easy in knowing a spring gets worn out by repeated compressions and release of compression (ie...using the mag to shoot, etc.)

Just sitting loaded will not hurt it.

I left one loaded for a few years once.  No problems.

I figured it had, but when I ran a search on the word "loaded" in the 'Magazines" sub-forum, it came up with zero hits.  Sorry if this is a highly redundant thread.

Appreciate your response.  Sounds just like handgun spring reasoning.  As a handgun guy getting his first semi-auto rifle, I guess I have a lot of simple questions.  I've tried to spend time in the FAQ, and will do some more.  Thanks again.

Shouldn't be any spring problems at all. Personally, I'd put the cap on it to save pressure on the feed lips (if the magazine isn't going to be left actually in a gun). May not be necessary at all; but it can't hurt.

I had some G.I. RevMs loaded for almost 7 years.  No trouble.
