Gen 3 Magpul PMags are my preferred.

So do you prefer Metal or PMags?
Which make do you prefer? Brand, capacity, modifications....

USGI and pmags equally. If I thought one was going to have a hard life getting smashed on shit, I'd prob pick the pmag.

I use both, but for GI mags I add these:

because I once saw a guy catch the floor plate of a GI mag on the door frame upon exiting a vehicle, opening up a full mag like one of those snake in a can gags.  The image has stuck with me.

Lol, the spring came out first, so the rounds just kind of poured everywhere, but God, the guy was just left standing there with the dumbest look on his face, staring at his rifle.

For 30rd, I use USGI, Pmags, and Lancer mags.  All have served me well.

For 20rd mags I have a mix of straight USGI, Straight Pmags, and Lancer mags as well.

For 40rd I use Pmags, and 40+  Pmags with Nordic Components Extension

Still passively searching for a used 60rd Surefire for giggles but the wife being unemployed has made that iffy.

I had a couple of the SF 60s and dropped one. It spewed like a fountain out of the feedlips. Not having the funds to get one is a good thing in this case. Stick to those 40 pmags.

Above freezing temps plastic.
Below freezing metal.

I still use some USGI mags made in the 60's and plastic mags made in the 80's without any issues.

I like USGI with magpul followers and base plates. I rather deal with a possible bent feed lip then cracked bodies or eroded feed lips.  I have seen both with pmags.

USGI with MAGPUL or the latest GI followers (although I still have some with the older green and even older black followers that work fine).

While I've never had issues with PMAGs or Lancers, the USGI get the job done for me and I like the price when I find them on sale.

I own both and trust both, but I voted 'metal' because the question was about my preference.

My preference is plain old mil-spec 30's from Okay, NHMTG or Colt (yes, I know they're all actually the same).

It seems like a lot of the Pmag guys prefer the Gen M2.

What do ya'll like about 'em over the Gen M3?

I voted both because I have and use both however, I prefer the USGI type, D&H, 30 rounders with the green followers.  For Pmags I run the Gen2, 30 rounders foliage green is my color of choice.
